MOROCCAN SPICE
Frigid Front Street has been given a much-needed blast of North African heat with the opening of The Sultan’s Tent & Café Moroc (49 Front St. E., 416-961-0601). Former Yorkville resident, Sultan’s Tent came downtown after its purchase by Cher-Anne Nash and Ellis Hanna, who also own Kalendar. Dine within the plush confines of an actual tent – live entertainment is provided by belly dancers – or choose the open space of Café Moroc.

MARVELOUS MOROCCAN:
SULTAN’S TENT GETS YOUR BELLY DANCING WITH EDIBLE EXOTICA
Its back room is so seductive, it made us completely forget our camels were double-parked on snowy, frigid Front Street. Nine tented dining lounges (seating 12 to 20 people each) have sink-in comfort, replete with sprawling sectionals. ...
A plethora of lovely throw pillows, tasteful trinkets and imported light fixtures add to the North African theme as do the luxurious draped fabrics overhead in hues of tangerine, moss and saffron. ...the room will charm your socks off, ...Its sophisticated, even elegant, Moroccan style provides a nice framework for Alan Tennenhouse's edible exotica.

Dear Sultan’s Tent,
I am delighted to be writing to you today to share what a tremendous success the Buena Vista Home Entertainment Aladdin Road show was. The feedback from our Canadian Sales force was positive and evident that the event met with rave reviews.
Please share with your team that we were extremely pleased with the level of service received from the service staff, the culinary team, the belly dancers and the restaurant as a whole. It should not go unspoken that we were especially pleased with your management of such a cohesive team. The restaurant looked beautiful, the service was excellent and, most importantly your Chef should be commended for an exceptional job.
You more than kept your promise in reassuring me that the event would be flawless and the food bountiful.
I wish you continued success. Thank you again for your prompt attention and courteous service.

Yours truly,
